The loss suffered by the Ghekiere, Schneider, Ireland, and Smith families is unimaginable. In the face of such tragedy, our community has shown what it means to stand together, lift each other up, and provide strength when it is needed most. As part of this citywide effort, The Windmill & Bar 51 is proud to host a Community Day of Support on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
* On October 1st, join us anytime between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM, and 10% of all sales will be donated to support the families affected. Whether you stop by for lunch, dinner, drinks, or simply to be part of something meaningful, your visit will help make a difference.
* The Hayden Quartet featuring Elana Hayden, Parker Brown, Mike Leslie & Trevor Krieger will provide live music from 6 PM to 8 PM!
This week is about more than fundraising. It is about showing these families that they are not alone. It is about neighbors supporting neighbors, businesses supporting community, and all of us coming together in remembrance, compassion, and hope.
